Halloween is just around the corner!!!

This blog entry is going to be showing what we've been doing the past few days but it's also a reference for me b/c I feel like the older I get the worse my memory is!!!!  Not only will this document what I did 2012 for memories but it will also remind me how to decorate the next year!!!  I had to start with a couple of cute pics of my boys!  God didn't bless Craig and I with sons so we have 2 furry ones instead!!!  These little guys are my shadows throughout the day, I'm not kidding you.  They literally are at my feet ALL day long!!!!  Sometimes that is awesome but other times not so convenient, first one to come to mind...cooking!  YIKES
Granger is sooooo cute but he literally freezes when I put the costume on him.  I have about 12 pics of him and he's just like a little statue!!!
My first baby boy, Griffin!!!!  Or as we like to call him, Tater Tot!  He's the tater tot and Granger is known as the Hashbrown!
Oh the awesome South Bosque pumpkin project!!!  Man we had a hard time deciding what we were going to do.  It gets tricky when as a family you've done a total of 6 pumpkin book characters already!!!  I asked Mille to go in the playroom and go through books, she came out with Mercy Watson, Princess in Disguise!!!~ Mac was sad she's not at S.B. so Mille asked for her help.
My sweet Mille!!  By the way growing out our bangs= SUPER FUN!!!!
My little artists
No Mac isn't smelling the paint, although it looks like it, she's pretending to paint a mustache on herself.  Which on a side note is kind of funny b/c she has declared that "mustache" is a bad word b/c she doesn't like them.  Oh 10 year olds are so interesting! :o)
Now it was Mac's idea to pretend like she's stabbing the pumpkin. Hmmmmm pic above looks likes she sniffing the paint and now she's stabbing it with psycho eyes. She either has issues or is a good actress, I'm going with the 2nd!
Meet Mercy Watson, she isn't finished yet still needs another arm.
We always have so much fun doing these pumpkins!!  Mille especially loved using the hammer, wish my fingers could say the same!!! ;o)
She's a cutie but I REALLY hope she stays together.  I don't exactly know how we're going to get her there(she's super light b/c she is made out of punkins-recycled from Mille's pumpkin last year!)because she 's so oddly shaped.  I will be taking a hot glue gun just in case the little girl needs some cosmetic touch ups!!
Here are the pics for my benefit. :o) I used to take pics and print them out or draw pics of how I decorated.  I'm going to try this and hopefully I'll remember to look back.  This is the dining room, normally Mercy isn't at the end.
Side view, Tinker Bell decided to get in the pics. It's fitting since she's a black cat.
My owl obsession finally pays off!!!!  I'm obsessed with owls.  I don't really know why but I just think they are so stinkin' cute.  I have them on display front and center when you walk in the door.
Here is one of my favorites, the cream big one, he's cute!!
Here is another favorite, the brown one with big eyes, SO CUTE!!!
One of the lamp shades I made.  I love them but they took forever to make!!!
Trick or Treat sign I hung on the front windows.
Pots outside, I normally stack 3 punkins. 2 orange and 1 white but the wind has always been an issue.  I can't tell you how many times I'd wake up in the middle of the night wondering if one of the punkins was down the street.  Which actually happened before.
The wreath I made and my mums(I pray I won't kill these)
I covered the cushion and made these pillows.  Of course the sun beats in on my front porch so the burlap is fading! :o( I think I'm going to spray paint them, it couldn't hurt!!
I was so proud of the wreath!!  It was one of those craft projects that just came together with stuff I had.  I bought the sign b/c I thought it was cute then went from there.  Those are the best projects, the ones that weren't planned! Love it!!
The front room's mantel.
This is my all time favorite owl!!!  I admired her online for about a year and finally went for it.  Craig was in Lake City with friends and I was here chauffeuring the girls around everywhere so I decided I deserved a treat!!  The girls LOVE to go around and count all of my owls.  I try to normally space them out b/c I don't want people to know I'm so obsessed!! The girls asked me what her name was since she was my favorite, so her name is Olivia after Olivia Newton-John-DUH!!!!
Tinker Bell with Olivia
Here is another cutie, I found him at Target.  I must stop buying owls!!!!! :o)
