I Love My Sweet Baby

I've been blessed to get a few days alone with my baby lately.  Mac has been with friends having fun so Miss Mille and I have been hanging out.  I wish I could say we did big time fun stuff but I had neglected the house and HAD to clean it or I was going to go crazy.  I thought I would take a second and share some thoughts on my baby and some of my all time favorite photos of her.  The photos that I include at the bottom are pics that no matter how many times I see them my heart melts, laughs, sighs and just gives me happiness.  Miss Mille can be a handful but she's the most adorable, compassionate, funny, smart, best buddy I could ask for.

Here Mille and I are acting like silly girls.  We love doing the "duck-bill" face
Mille LOVES Brittney Griner so we got a jersey for her and we are going to watch her play in
San Antonio when the Mercury comes to play.
This pic makes me laugh b/c we were going out to visit the cows.  In late June through August the grasshoppers are HORRIBLE!!!!  Mille has declared that she scared of them.  We love to drive the mule around so this was her sister and her idea to "fix" her phobia.  She wore the Darth Vador mask while driving around. LOVE her!
Later in the week she decided to wave at people while driving around wearing the Darth mask.  I can't tell you how many people smiled at her and waved!  So much fun!!!
This is a good example of Mille's taste.  She had birthday money and these are the 2 things she wanted to buy.  That about sums it up.
She loves her baby, she has played with her all summer!  I'm not sure how much longer she will do this so I'm enjoying every second of it.  Judging by her love for her doll she is going to be the best mommy that ever walked the earth.  My baby is so sweet!
She loves Granger, he follows her around and she loves to snuggle him.
This was from yesterday, I was cleaning and all was quite.  I took my camera knowing I'd find something cute!  My girl is back drawing in her room.
She's quite the artist!
Later she played store.  My dad gave her a real cash register for Chirstmas along with a real credit card machine and scanner.  She plays on it everyday and collects stuff around the house to scan.  The white bags inside the cabinet are full of clothes and house stuff that she scans.  I used to do the same exact thing when I was little, well minus the cool credit card machine and scanner we didn't have those things back in the day!  I did have a real cash register, thank you daddy! My baby and I are very much alike.
Mille with her items to check out.

This pic makes me happy b/c I remember it like it was yesterday.  She had a fever virus and was sent home from school b/c it was 100.  The next day she had no fever and felt fine.  I had to go to the store (I actually had to leave the store the day b/4 b/c the nurse called for me to get her) This is a pic she asked me to take to show how good she felt.  She be-bopped all over the store, we had the best day.
Here she is pushing her baby around.  I love how she has other babies in the stroller but Jackie or Katy is her name now sits up top so she can see her.
This is going way back, she's probably 4 here.  She came out in her swimsuit with her boots on!!!  When I said let me take a pic this is the pose she did!  I think this was the beginning of the "Mille pose"  Every time I see this pic it makes me smile!
Another oldie, this is a show of how much the child loves tomatoes.  She's eating one whole. Side note, Mac was in the background gagging during this pic.  She thought it was so nasty watching Mille do this.  Mac isn't a tomato fan.
LOVE this pic!!!! She would sleep with both of these guys every night for about 4 months.  She loved to dress up in her cowgirl gear just like Jessy.
My girl is smart!  She made "crunches" out of Tinker Toys.  She hobbled along all day with these things.
Another one that makes me laugh!  Randomly came out in this swimsuit with the top on backwards!  Then when I ask her to pose she flexes her muscles!
This is the outfit she picked out for bed a while back.  I love how Mac isn't even phased by it in the background.
Another Mille outfit and pose.
Here she is freaking us all out!  We are in Gunnison and the adults are having a beer.  Mille ordered a rootbeer (that's her favorite drink) When we look over there this is what she's doing!  We all did a double take b/c it looked like she was drinking one of our drinks.  The rootbeer is made there so it's not the usual A&W we see. Stinker!!
Here she is with her freshly painted nails drinking from a wine glass.  Craig and I were having wine and she wanted to use a "fancy glass" too.  Hey why not
I could and will make a book of all the pics I have of Mille sleeping.  The child can go from 110 mph to 0 in a split second.  Here she is after a long day.  She was in the shower then I guess couldn't make it to the bed, so she just laid down on the floor and fell asleep.
I told her she needed to read for AR (this is 3rd grade year) so she went and read.  When I didn't hear anything for a while I went and looked.  This is what I found.  Maybe she was reading by osmosis.
This is either pre-k or K she was watching t.v. and fell asleep.  Only Mille could fall asleep sitting up!!! She was like this for about 1 hour.
She was playing in the playroom and around the house.  I didn't hear her for a while so when I went to see what she was doing(knowing she would be asleep, I don't panic wen it's quiet I know that means Mille is asleep) this is what I found.  How angelic and precious is this?  She actually sleeps like this a lot.  Her little hands together under her face with her legs up.  Want to just kiss her!!!
Asleep in the chair Nana and Gaga gave her for christmas.
I seriously have about 30 more of her sleeping(maybe more) but this will do.  Bottom line is I love this sweet girl more than life it's self.  She's always been my little buddy.  We love to shop together and decorate together.  We love to get Starbucks and then go to Hobby Lobby and talk about cool things we could make.  We also love Marshall's, its fun to look at the purses and home stuff.  Mille and I talk about how we might open a shop when she older.  We would like to do design work, who knows we'll see.  Until then I'm going to enjoy every second I can with her.  She is and will always be my
Squishy Bear!!!

Lake City Life

We are having a great time in Lake City.  The girls enjoyed the 4th parade and games and then we had some friends over for dinner.  The girls put on their party dresses for the festivities.
Today was very busy for us!  We went to the pond and fished for 3 hours (didn't catch much) then we went and ate a yummy lunch and then went jeeping.  We jeeped and then went on a hike to look at the water fall(look close in the back and you'll see it) After that The girls, Craig and I stopped off at a mine and went on a tour.  It was really educational and fun.  When we were done with that we went to one of our favorite places, Deer Lakes.  We always see moose and we love to feed the chipmunks and ground squirrels.
Here is a cow moose and she had twin calves.
The things in front of the moose are Canadian geese and her babies.
Here is Chunk-a-Monka eating a grape
Little Chicmunk eating a grape and goldfish
Here is Chunk again, eating a goldfish
On the way home we stopped and saw a bull moose!  So awesome!!!

Stopped at Windy Point for a gorgeous view
Because of the smoke from the wild fires and then the rain the mountains were gorgeous!!!!!

Lovin' Life!

Happy 4th of July!

We are having a blast in Lake City this year.  It's been a little hotter than usual but most days it has cooled off for a bit.  We had a great time in the 4th of July parade.  The girls, Craig and his dad along with others rode stick horses and had so much fun.
We always get our pic with the bear.
Had to get cowboy hats for the parade! The wreath in the background is the one I made for Kay.
On their stick horses ready for work.  2 miles of walking and 0 complaints!!!
Horses turned out super cute!
Craig and his cowgirls

Riding their stick horses in the parade!
That is Craig in the orange shirt.  He ran around like a crazy man!  It was funny!!
Mille is her hat!
Craig in his cowboy hat.  I asked if he'd bring it home and wear it but he said negative on that.
Friends of Lisa and Kirk were in Lake City so we hung out with them and the girls loved meeting new friends. Their daughters were so sweet and it made the day at the park even more fun.
My babies before they got their faces painted.
Mille with face paint
Mac with hers, I love her hat.  She loves it too but more than anything she said she didn't want to show her "bad hair" under her hat.

The girls running some laps to warm up.
Run Mac run!!!!
Mille in her race, she ran her little heart out.
Go Mille
Mac running her race.
