Christmas Celebration with my Wednesday Girls

Last year I started bringing Mac and her sweet friends home with us every week.  We had so much fun we wanted to continue it this year.  The girls come home with us every Wednesday, hence the name Wednesday girls!  They come over and I fix them a snack then they play and dance.  Usually they hang out in the kitchen and we all talk for about 20 minutes.  They are such sweet girls, I would adopt each one if I could.  I love celebrating with them so this week we are celebrating Christmas early. Next week we are going to celebrate Mac's bday.

We made ice cream Santa hats.  I scooped ice cream then the girls iced a cone and decorated with icing, marshmallows and cool whip.

Thanksgiving, Mac's 12th bday invites and Christmas decor

We've been busy around here but of course who isn't!  Here are pics from SOME of the things we've been up to. :o)

We are doing Mac's 12th bday party at Waco Wonderland.  She invited some friends and the girls are going to ice skate and watch Elf.  I'm really excited!!!  I think this might be the easiest party I've planned...ever.  I'm buying the cupcakes(haven't done that since she was 3) then I'm making hotdogs, popcorn and putting it all in a bag.  When we got sit down for the movie I will just pass out the bags and they can eat and watch the movie.  The invite is a coffee cup with hot chocolate inside and a chocolate covered peppermint spoon.

Easiest and super yummy pecan pie!!! Pioneer Woman is my all time favorite, I want to be her when I grow up!!!

Some of the food I made, my kitchen was full!! I made homemade dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes in hollowed out oranges with marshmallow topping and pecan brown sugar(pioneer woman again, first time to make it and everybody LOVED it!!)topping, homemade cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, pumpkin cheesecake and pecan pie x's 2! Oh and 32 rolls!!!  I was a busy chef Tuesday and Wednesday but it was so worth it.  Craig said it was the best Thanksgiving he's had in 39 years.  He said the food was the best he's ever had and that is HUGE b/c I used his MiMi's recipes and my gosh they are good!!!

Balloon characters from Gaylord Texan.  We went and saw Nutcracker ICE.  We waited in line for an hour for these balloons.  I plan on taking pics of them everyday, I figured when you wait for that long you need to give them love.

Tree, the girls helped me this year with everything!!!!  It was awesome.  They hung all of their ornaments which is about 20 for Mille and 28 for Mac(we give them 2 a year so they'll have a great start when they have their own tree!)

Now I need to go cook pancakes!!!  Craig and I aren't doing pancakes we are going to have a wine tasting!  Yummy, Merlot tonight.
